FLO

Are you right for Flo?

Flo was found as a stray and found kennel life overwhelming at first, but with time and support from the volunteers, she's made lovely progress and now copes much better. She adores quiet time with her person once she trusts them, and loves a gentle doggy massage - often falling asleep during one! She's very good on the lead and enjoys gentle wandering and sniffing rather than long or busy walks.

She has an old, healed injury to her front paw for which she takes a joint supplement, and prefers shorter, relaxed walks as a result. She's a clever girl who enjoys training, scent work and enrichment games, and settles happily afterwards with a favourite chew (beef lung is a firm favourite!). She can sometimes mouth when overwhelmed, and the team have been helping her learn better coping strategies, with great progress so far. On a recent foster stay, she travelled nicely in the car, slept through the night in her own bed, and only had one small toilet accident while settling in.

Flo would be happiest in a quiet, semi-rural or rural home with a secure garden where she can relax and explore safely. She would prefer to be the only pet in the home, and is looking for a home with children aged 14+. She may need a patient and understanding home, but in return offers a loyal, affectionate companion who loves cuddles, quiet time and sniffy adventures.
